Environmental Policy Statement

Building Adhesives is committed to achieving an operation that responsiblity integrates environmental aspects into the scope of its business activities, considering them as opportunities and not as threats. The Company aims to comply with all current legislation and take the necessary actions through its policies and procedures to meet changes in legislation and adopt best working practices.

Environmental goals will be consistent with the Company's overall strategic direction and feasible within the context of the Company's technological, managerial and commercial capabilities. It is acknowledged that the Company can influence its products, formulations, manufacturing processes and selection of its suppliers to achieve this goal.

The Company is committed to achieving the participation of all employees in the development and implementation of its environmental policies. Also to increase their understanding and contribution through communication, training and personal development.

The objectives and procedures supporting this policy constitute the environmental approach of the organisation, and are considered as long term goals to be implemented and developed through continuous improvement .
In accordance with this policy the Company :

• Is committed to providing the appropriate structure and resources to support all aspects of its environmental procedures.

• Will work in partnership with customers to improve the ecological impact of products and packaging over their full life cycle, including both use and disposal.

• Will, where possible, use suppliers who offer competitive material or service within the framework of an environmental policy.

• Will provide the necessary knowledge on environmental concerns, so that staff may develop the awareness to act, having regard to environmental issues.

• Will use energy efficiently through the manufacturing process, optimising the use of limited resources and minimise the consumption of raw materials.

• Will avoid or minimise, as appropriate, environmentally harmful emissions during its manufacturing processes and services. Will optimise procedures in order to avoid pollution of water, air, soil and noise by the use of monitoring and targeting techniques.

• Will set environmental objectives, targets, reveiws and regularly audit activities to demonstrate compliance with this policy and is comitted to continual improvement of the system.

• Will limit and avoid, where possible, the use of harmful materials during its manufacturing processes.

• Will consider recycling and disposal of the Company's products and packaging with customers, endeavouring to keep waste to a minimum. Will ensure that any waste disposed of externally is through approved contractors, supporting relevant technologies for recycled materials both internally and externally to the Company.

• Will comply with environmental legislation, assessing site related risks and taking the necessary precautions to prevent or minimise these risks.
