BAL delivers online training for architects

Architects can now benefit from Continuing Professional Development (CPD) online, thanks to BAL. The market leader in tiling adhesives and grouts is making its popular RIBA-approved seminars available as ‘webinars’ — internet-based educational modules. Each of the two seminars gives detailed coverage of a key topic: “Leisure Facilities – Specifying Tiling Works” and “Specifying Tiling Works in Heavily Trafficked Areas.”

Each course is initially offered as an interactive training session, with participants able to ask questions during the lesson. Recordings of these sessions are then made available to the architects for subsequent viewing via the BAL web site. All RIBA chartered members are required to complete at least 35 hours of accredited CPD each year, split between a core curriculum and other relevant subjects.

Architects participating in the webinar programme will gain an understanding of the important factors which critical in designing and specifying successful tiling works within either leisure facilities or heavily-trafficked areas, as appropriate. The topics covered will include relevant health and safety issues, correct selection of materials including technical requirements and specifications and the avoidance of potential problems. Both webinars offer real case studies to illustrate the points being made.

Further information about webinar dates and times can be obtained from BAL on 01782 591171.
