Practical Ceramic Floor and Wall Tiling

Description :	A 5 day course intended for trainee and practicing tile fixers
Aim :	The course is designed to provide practical application skills for fixing ceramic tiles to all types of background surfaces. It places emphasis on the correct selection of wall and floor tiling adhesives and grouts and the correct installation methods that should be used, including requirements for grouting in areas that call for the use of epoxy grouts (particularly food preparation areas)
Main Subjects :	Identification, classification and preparation of background surfaces/substrates/tanking systems Classification of types of installations Review of ceramic wall tile adhesives, grouts and associated products Factors governing the correct selection of tiling products Importance of tiling installation design, e.g. incorporation of movement joints Awareness of necessary safety standards Tiling methods and skills, including setting out and cutting Overview of screeding and levelling Underfloor heating
